Chios is looking for a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We are seeking someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well in a fast-paced environment, and has experience producing high-quality laminated pastries and artisan baked goods.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with lamination for croissants and Danish pastries
- Experience with dough sheeter and retarder proofer is preferred
- Bread baking experience, including dough preparation, fermentation, and shaping
- Experience preparing a variety of pastries and baked goods
- Ability to maintain consistency, organization, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Early morning and weekend availability preferred
- Food Handler Certificate is a must
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake croissants, Danish pastries, breads, and other baked goods
- Assist with pastry production and daily kitchen preparation
- Maintain high standards for product quality and presentation
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Support a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
