As a Mechanic Helper, you will work with our skilled and collaborative shop team to ensure the maintenance of all implements, equipment, and vehicles necessary for the successful operation of the farm. The Mechanic Helper will join a rewarding environment with opportunities to develop their professional experience as a technician in the agricultural industry.

As part of this team, the candidate will:
- Coordinate with the shop team daily to ensure safety, productivity, and quality of service on all outstanding maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Maintain the safety and organization of the shop environment; maintain the safe working condition of inventory, tools and equipment.
- Order and pickup parts; maintain parts inventory.
- Assist with diagnostic, service, and preventative maintenance on various farm implements and vehicles; ensure accurate and timely repair on all equipment.
- Keep and maintain accurate daily log of activities.
- Communicate effectively with team mechanics to facilitate completion of required paperwork for all work done.
- Collaborate with office staff on health and safety requirements and other maintenance projects as required.
- Additional duties as needed.
Job requirements:
- Must be comfortable working in shop and outdoors.
- Must be comfortable with moderate physical activity, including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lb.
- Must have a valid class G license, clean driver's abstract
- 1-2 years of experience with mechanic work preferred.
- Experience with farmwork and farm equipment preferred.
