Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Creator. We're a family of Fraser Valley food brands since 1997. This role involves developing engaging digital content across various platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive audience engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, graphic design, and social media management tools. ● Wendel's Bookstore & Café — a Fort Langley institution steps from the river in historic Fort Langley, serving from-scratch food and with a retail bookstore.
● Wendel's True Foods — a dedicated 100% gluten-free bakery in downtown Langley. High quality baked goods , real ingredients, in retailers across the country.
● Eve's Crackers — our seed-based, gluten-free, plant-based cracker line.
Three brands, one voice. Right now that storytelling is stretched too thin, and we're ready to hand it to someone who'll own it.
The role
We're hiring one in-house content creator to run social for all three brands — not an agency, a real person who's here, who shoots what's actually happening, and who wants to build a body of work they're proud of. You'll be onsite capturing fresh content, at both the Cafe/ bookstore, at the production facility, and taking product off site to do location shoots, and behind the edit turning it into a feed that looks as good as our food tastes.
This is a hands-on creative role. You'll shoot it, edit it, post it, and see it move a real business. If you want ownership and a portfolio that proves you can do it, this is that job.
What you'll do
● Create and publish at least two posts a week, each with a reel, across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for all three brands.
● Be onsite at least once a week capturing current content — food, café atmosphere, the weekly specials, behind-the-scenes in the bakery.
● Do some off site locations, or at a local grocery stores — retail displays, product on shelf, demos and events.
● Shoot and edit photo and short-form video with a clean, elevated, editorial eye.
● Keep each brand's look cohesive and distinct, and hold a consistent visual standard.
● Plan a simple weekly content calendar tied to specials, promotions, seasons, and product launches, including ads.
● Keep a light pulse on what's landing and lean into it.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including Facebook Advertising, to target specific audiences effectively.
.Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools.
- Experience with social media management platforms
- Knowledge of Facebook Advertising and other paid social media campaigns.
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in both visual and written content.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
