Experienced Residential Carpenter (Temporary Project Position)
East Coast Contracting (ECC) is looking for an experienced Residential Carpenter to join our team for an upcoming exterior construction project in the St. John's area.
This is a temporary project-based position with the opportunity to become an ongoing part-time member of our team for the right individual. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, is reliable, and represents our company professionally.

Potential for ongoing part-time work based on performance, reliability, and future workload. This is not a full-time position.

August 2026
Pay
Starting at $30.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Install exterior doors and windows
- Install house wrap and weather barriers
- Install vinyl siding
- Complete soffit, fascia, and exterior trim
- Roofing repairs and installations
- General residential carpentry
- Read and follow construction plans
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Work independently and alongside the owner and labourer
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience preferred
- Strong experience with siding, roofing, windows, and exterior doors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working at heights
- Excellent attention to detail
- References available upon request
