Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy dining establishment. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
- Supervise and train staff members, including interviewing and hiring new team members.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Lead team management efforts to motivate staff, promote teamwork, and foster a positive dining environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency.
- Implement policies related to food industry standards, hospitality excellence, and restaurant management best practices.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food quality control and ensure adherence to health regulations.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks to optimize restaurant performance.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety protocols.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Knowledge of food industry standards, kitchen operations, and food handling procedures.
- Experience in hotel or barista settings is a plus; background in food safety is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts.
