Job Summary
Salco Group is seeking a highly organized and reliable Shop Coordinator to oversee shop inventory, material tracking, purchase coordination, and documentation for our construction and demolition operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment entering and leaving the shop, ensuring all items are properly assigned to projects and documented accordingly. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage purchase orders (POs), receipts, invoices, and related documentation
- Track materials, tools, and equipment issued to projects, including quantities, pricing, project allocation, and employee assignments
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and quotes
- Assist with budgeting and cost tracking by sourcing materials and supplies efficiently
- Maintain organized inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate material orders based on inventory usage and project demands
- Maintain organized digital records, prepare inventory and material movement reports, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Use Microsoft Excel, Adobe, email platforms, and other computer software on a daily basis to manage inventory and documentation
- Ensure the shop remains organized and inventory is properly accounted for
- Pick up or deliver materials to project sites when required
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Spanish or additional languages are considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and general computer software
- Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records
- Comfortable handling administrative tasks and digital documentation
- Experience in construction, demolition, warehouse, or shop environments is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
