We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead one of our luxury residential crews. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled gardener who can manage people, equipment, and projects while maintaining exceptional standards in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate landscape maintenance crews to achieve high productivity and top-quality results.
- Manage daily scheduling, equipment operation, and safe work practices.
- Ensure client properties are consistently maintained to “luxury estate” standards.
- Communicate professionally with clients, addressing requests, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support team development through on-site training, coaching, and horticultural mentorship.
- Monitor quality control, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to specification.
- Represent Heartwood Gardenworks’ values of reliability, craftsmanship, and respect.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on landscape maintenance experience, preferably in luxury residential or strata environments.
- Proven leadership experience in supervising crews, managing workflow, and delegating tasks.
- Strong horticultural knowledge: plant care, pruning, lawn and soil health, fertilization, and pest/disease management.
- Excellent client relations and communication skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain professional landscape equipment safely and effectively.
- Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5) with a clean abstract.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $32–$38/hr (depending on experience and leadership ability)
- Performance Bonus: Annual bonus opportunities based on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction (average $5,000–$7,000)
- Fuel Allowance / Vehicle Reimbursement: Available for foremen managing multiple job sites
