Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sandwich Artist to join our team. This role involves preparing fresh sandwiches and salads, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this role.
Duties
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and answering questions about menu options
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell additional items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure food handling procedures meet health regulations
- Assist with general restaurant duties such as serving customers, cleaning dining areas, and supporting team members as required
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is beneficial but not essential
- Must have Food Handlers (but we can help train for it)
