The Job
As we continue to grow we are currently seeking individuals to join our team in an entry level role as ground person/ arborist trainee. Previous experience is an asset however a positive attitude is the most important quality you can bring to the job.
A drivers license is required.
This position requires heavy lifting and working outdoors in all conditions.
A Manitoba Arborist License or ISA certification would be an asset, ability to obtain will be required.

This entry level position offers room for advancement and growth.
Full training in all aspects of the Arborist trade will be provided.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Performs all required ground duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by crew leader.
Participates in all job site safety briefings.
Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Assists with the implementation of work zone safety procedures.
Properly utilizes hand tools associated with arboricultural work
Uses and maintains chainsaws safely
Assists with the implementation of tree felling procedures
Assists climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and aloft
Operates the chipper, stump grinder and all other equipment safely
Assists with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day
Follows directions from the crew leader or designated supervisor
Learns, understands, and adheres to all safety rules and company safety policies
Participates in all safety and training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety skills
Communicates well with all crew members and clients
