Skills and Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up and maintenance of surface mine areas, including haul roads, pit floors, shop yards, and equipment laydown areas.
- Set up various dewatering systems, such as submersible pumps, Diesel pumps, rolling out and rolling up different size discharge hoses.
- Assist equipment operators, mechanics, and other trades as needed.
- Safely operated small tools and light equipment (e.g., pressure washers, pumps, generators, skid steers, forklifts if certified).
- Support fuel, lube, or wash bay operations by assisting with fluid handling, vehicle cleaning, and parts delivery.
- Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and regulations including PPE compliance and hazard awareness.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing training as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting when required (e.g., work logs, checklists).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Requirements
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Previous experience in a mining, construction, or heavy industrial environment preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license (Class G2 minimum)
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and extreme weather (heat, cold, snow).
- Safety-conscious attitude with knowledge of mine site protocols.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, rotational schedules, and overtime as needed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or equipment operation experience is an asset.
- Experience in operating packers/ rollers and other equipment considered an asset
- Current criminal record check
Work Environment
- Outdoor, surface mining environment (dusty, noisy, and exposed to varying weather).
- Physically demanding tasks include lifting, shoveling, walking on uneven terrain, and operating hand tools.
- Rotational shifts including days, nights, and weekends may be required.
Local applicants preferred, this is not a camp position
