Overview
We are a family of six based in Burlington seeking a dependable, organized, and caring family assistant / household manager to support our home and four children (10, 7, 5 and 10 months). We have an active household and value someone who genuinely cares for our children and can create a consistent and organized home where everyone can thrive.
This is a long-term opportunity.
Duties
- Coordinating and overseeing household schedules, appointments, and events
- Managing household supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
- Organizing household files, calendars, and important documents
- Providing support with children’s activities, school logistics, and transportation as needed
- Handling light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized home
- Running errands
- Supporting special projects or family events to ensure successful execution
- Communicating effectively with family members to anticipate needs and provide personalized assistance
- Managing list for cleaners
- Traveling with our family is not a requirement, but a bonus if an option
Qualifications
- Proven experience in household management or family assistance roles preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and family schedules
- Previous experience as a nanny, household manager, family assistant, or similar role
- Enjoys cooking
- Valid and clean driver's license
- First aid training and ability to swim is an asset
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting at $75,000 annual salary paid bi-weekly through payroll. This is a full time 45 hrs/week position. Some evening and weekend work is required.
- Mileage reimbursement, but generally will have access to family car
- Two weeks paid vacation plus statutory holiday
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
