About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented General Labourer to join a busy rental equipment and events operation in Winnipeg. You'll work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Events team to keep inventory organized, equipment clean and in top shape, and client orders accurate, with opportunities to work outdoors on event setups. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right person who takes pride in doing the job right.
What You'll Be Doing
- Receiving inventory and accurately packing client orders
- Updating and using inventory management software
- Maintaining vehicle maintenance records, including checking oil and other fluids
- Cleaning and maintaining rental equipment — tables, chairs, tents, and more
- Completing return paperwork and photographing equipment upon return
- Working with the Events team to set up tents and other event equipment on-site
- Loading/unloading and driving larger vehicles as needed
- Keeping the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and safe
What You Bring
- Full, valid driver's licence required, with a clean driver's abstract (mandatory — please do not apply without this)
- Strong attention to detail — in paperwork, equipment cleaning, and inventory processing
- Strong work ethic and pride in a job well done
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance (checking fluids, etc.)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Comfortable driving larger vehicles
- Physically fit — able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs for inventory handling, truck loading/unloading, and event setup
- Able to be on your feet for the full shift
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors (rain, snow, heat, cold)
- Available to work evenings and weekends when needed
