MTO Metal Products is looking for experienced welders and associates with some experience interested in possible Apprentice Opportunities. Our Company is offering Long Term Stable employment, training opprotunities, and a friendly atmosphere in a team oriented environmen.
Days:
- 6:30 AM - 4 PM - Monday to Thursday
- 6:30 AM - 3 PM - Friday
The Manufacturing Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting components through each step of the manufacturing process, and providing approval of machine setups, and authorization to proceed with production runs. This responsibility includes all production activities within our CNC Machining, Weld and Fabrication, and Painting departments, as well as our supply chain and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities to Include:
- Inspecting completed parts, compare to requirements, and measure/document dimensional results
- Participating in the calibration of gages and equipment
- Create/maintain FAI/PPAP documentation (FAI’s, Control Plans, etc).
- Assist the purchasing department with vendor quality control
- Participating in the non-conformance deficiency management process
- Participate in Root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting
- Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Internal audits and all requirements of ISO 9001
Skills Required
- Ability to interpret customer prints, technical specifications and quality assurance standards
- Strong understanding of GD&T and machine shop and weld shop inspection techniques.
- Use a variety of inspection equipment to inspect parts/gages/fixtures and determine compliance
- Experience with CMMs is an asset
- CNC Machine Operation, Programming and welding experience would be an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality Inspection
