We are seeking a Wills & Estates Lawyer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing boutique practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced lawyer looking to build and expand a sophisticated estates practice while advising individuals, business owners, and high-net-worth clients on complex estate planning, trusts, succession planning, and estate administration in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on a broad range of wills, trusts, and estate planning matters.
Draft sophisticated Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and other estate planning documents.
Develop customized estate and succession plans for high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners, and blended families.
Provide strategic advice on trusts, business succession, and post-mortem tax planning.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service and practical legal advice.
Collaborate with colleagues to grow and develop the firm's Wills & Estates practice.
Deliver technically sound legal solutions while managing complex client matters independently.
Qualifications
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Wills, Trusts, and Estates law.
Strong knowledge of Ontario estate planning and estate administration.
Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families on sophisticated estate planning matters.
TEP designation or progress toward obtaining the designation is considered an asset.
Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and client relationship management skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities while exercising sound judgment.
