Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team to transport Salt . The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Assist with automotive repairs or minor troubleshooting of vehicle issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading freight at various sites.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Power Line Hazards
- First Aid
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple routes.
- Must be able to work remote .
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60.0 – 70.0 per week
