We are recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist a female employer with all activities of daily living.
Location:
- Richmond (Near Steveston-Boardwalk)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Tuesday to Friday: 9am to 4pm
- Saturday: 9am to 4pm (backup with approximately 1 shift per month)
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)
- Assist with personal care including but not limited to peri care, changing of Incontinence Products, assistance during Shower Routine, dressing assistance, personal hygiene, brushing teeth, washing face
- Complex care: Ventilator care, Trachea care, Suctioning, PEG tube care/feeding
- Assisting with transfers using Hoyer lift & sling transfers
- Incidental Room Cleanup and Laundry Turn
Required Qualifications:
- Some caregiving experience is preferred and experience as a home support worker considered an asset; willing to train the right candidate
- Trach/Vent experience considered an asset - if no experience will need to be ok with attending PROP course
- PEG Tube Experience Preferred
- Physically fit to position client into sling and move portable Hoyer lift as there is carpet in room
- Patient and clear communicator
- Comfortable working in an environment with a cat (cat does sheds a lot)
