Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, delivering memorable dining experiences. Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate. The position involves serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the shift.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with food handling and preparation as needed, following food safety protocols.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and resolving any issues professionally.
- Follow all restaurant policies regarding sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and ensure smooth service flow.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering functions.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and upselling techniques.
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting with guests.
