Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a second cook. This role involves preparing and serving quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of menu items with attention to quality and presentation
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, cooking, and assembling dishes
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent food service experience
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout shifts
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- must be available weekend mornings till mid afternoon
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
- Food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
