Walnut Grove Smiles Family Dental is seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment and ensure all instruments are properly sterilized according to infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including examinations, restorative treatment, crown and bridge procedures, extractions, endodontics, implant procedures, and other general dental treatments.
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and home care instructions.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
- Assist with appointment flow to help maintain an efficient and organized schedule.
- Support the administrative team with reception duties when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) licensed to practice in British Columbia.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience with Tracker software is considered an asset.
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral scanning is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Experience assisting with implant and restorative procedures is an asset but not required.
