Senior Backend Engineer
Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Required Skills
- Strong backend development experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas, schema design, JSON Schema validation, and Atlas CLI
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using AWS MSK (Kafka) and Amazon EventBridge
- API-first development using REST and AsyncAPI
- Authentication using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- AWS services including ECS, Lambda, MSK, EventBridge, and S3
- Strong knowledge of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Experience building production-ready applications with logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting
- Proficient in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) with the ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code
- Strong communication and documentation skills with experience writing clear technical specifications
Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
