Experienced Field Safety Advisor
Experience Level: Experienced 2-3 years

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to continue your career in occupational health and safety while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections and audits
- Help maintain health and safety documentation, records, and reports
- Support the development and delivery of safety training programs
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in incident investigations and prepare related documentation
- Help coordinate emergency response drills and procedures
- Update and maintain safety bulletin boards and communication materials
- Support the implementation of safety improvement initiatives
- Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification processes
- Respond to employee health and safety inquiries
- Help track and analyze safety metrics and key performance indicators
- Complete administrative tasks as needed
Who We're Looking For

Education & Certifications:
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- NCSO or HSA
- Certified ACSA COR Auditor or willing to learn
- Standard First Aid certification
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and communication skills — able to influence others and build trust
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to coach, guide, and support diverse teams
- Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to juggle multiple priorities
- Problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Proven ability to interpret and apply OH&S legislation and best practices
Other Requirements:
- Valid Alberta driver's license with clean abstract
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing

Physical Requirements
- Ability to conduct site inspections, which involves walking, standing, and climbing stairs

- Work will require visits to various work sites and environments
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
