Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience and have a valid Food Handler Certificate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, plating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly following food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen during busy periods, including meal assembly and plating
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food safety, and sanitation protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards customer service
- Basic understanding of the food industry trends and best practices in meal preparation
