Quantum Power Products is hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician or Automotive Technician (Journeyperson or 3/4th year apprentice) in Grande Prairie, AB to fill a full-time, on-site, Service Technician role. This role focuses on industrial engines, power generation equipment and heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
Position Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Technician plays a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial engines, power systems, and related equipment. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable team in a shop that values safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do
- Work safely and follow established safety protocols at all times
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial engines and power systems
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify faults and complete repairs
- Reassemble, adjust, and test repaired components
- Collaborate with team members to deliver reliable, high-quality service to customers

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson (On-Road or Off-Road), or
- Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice (3rd year or above), or
- Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson, or
- Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (3rd year or above)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Own tools (some tools provided)
Assets
- Previous dealership experience
- Experience with Deutz, Isuzu, JCB, Rehlko, Kubota, or Yanmar engines
- Experience with Airman, Allmand, Lincoln, Miller Welders or Multiquip Power products
- Exposure to power generation or industrial equipment
