Senior Project Accountant

The Role
Manage project financials, costing analysis, and high-volume AP for a growing construction portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Costing & Analysis: Perform deep-dive job costing, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
- Project Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee coding, approvals, and progress billings for high-volume invoices.
- Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers and Site Supers to track costs and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Compliance: Maintain contract records and support year-end audit preparation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in accounting; 3+ years in construction or real estate development.
- Education: Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA (or pursuit) preferred.
- Technical: Advanced Excel and proficiency in construction ERPs (e.g., Yardi, Sage, Jonas).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with expertise in GAAP and project-based cost control.
Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
