Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to a young woman in her home. The job focus is enhancing quality of life through various support services such as bathing dressing, feeding and providing experiences that enrich life. The Support Worker will engage in caregiving tasks that promote independence and dignity for the client.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Assist client with mobility and heavy lifting as necessary.
- Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for client.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to client..
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care .
Requirements
- Previous experience or educational program completion in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist client with physical mobility.
- Experience working with non verbal persons an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be able to pass background criminal record check, have first aide certificate and clean drivers abstract.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
