We’re growing our team and looking for an experienced IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician to join us in Fort Saskatchewan.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and execute rope access work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Select and safely use cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, slings, and other rigging equipment.
- Direct workers involved in hoisting and moving machinery and equipment when required.
- Complete required documentation, including rope-hour tracking and safety records.
- Participate in on-the-job training and provide guidance to site personnel.
- Inspect, maintain, and properly care for rope access and shared equipment.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and immediately report damaged or unsafe equipment.
- Conduct daily job-site hazard assessments and participate in pre-work safety meetings.
- Identify and report hazards, unsafe practices, and equipment concerns to the supervisor.
- Attend safety meetings and contribute to a strong, proactive safety culture.
- Work professionally with clients, contractors, businesses, and co-workers.
- Complete assigned scopes of work safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Lead by example and help maintain a positive, professional, and high-performing team environment.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Valid IRATA Level 3 certification — mandatory.
- Strong industrial rope access experience; oil & gas, refinery, or heavy industrial experience is an asset.
- Experience working across multiple trades, industries, and rope access applications.
- Red Seal certification or apprenticeship in a skilled trade is an asset.
- Confident working at significant heights and in challenging industrial environments.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, squat, and maintain full range of motion throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and operate common hand tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while providing direction and leadership to others.
- Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
- Confined Space, Energy Safety Canada CSO, and WHMIS 2015 certification — mandatory.
- First Aid/CPR — mandatory.
- Medical self-certification in accordance with IRATA requirements.
Pay: $59.40 per hour
