*FOR FULL-TIME LPN*
THIS POSITION IS FOR OUR ST. ALBERT CLINIC.
This position is for a FULL-TIME LPN at our St. Albert Clinic with occasional travel to our other Edmonton-area clinics for coverage as required.
The candidate may be required to work at different sites from time to time for coverage.
The preferred candidate will have strong multitasking skills, independent and self motivated.
About Aria MD Sleep Centre:
At Aria MD Sleep Centre, we are a patient-focused, therapy driven clinic that collaborates with speciality physicians including ENT and pulmonary doctors to provide optimal care for patients.
Role:
The successful candidate will be part of a hybrid role that is primarily administrative with secondary services including assisting the Respiratory Therapist in performing sleep studies for patients with suspected sleep disordered breathing.
- Learning and understanding sleep disorders as well as educating patients.
- Performing sleep studies with the guidance of the respiratory therapist on patients with suspected sleep disordered breathing.
- Understanding and learning how CPAP therapy works.
- Assisting in booking, faxing, answering calls regarding treatment for patients.
- Setting up diagnostic equipment and reprocessing.
- Assisting patients with CPAP and sleep testing related enquiries.
- Fitting patients with various medical equipment
A candidate with strong computer skills and multitasking is essential. EMR experience is preferred and Telus EMR experience is an asset.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in patient care. Handling patient requests.
- Answer customers' questions about therapy.
- Be able to work independently as well as in team oriented situations
- Maintain a professional appearance to clients and patients
- Maintain a presentable office by tidying up between patients
- Monitor inventory
- Ability to maintain a professional work environment at all times
- Excellent customer service skills
- The desire and ability to learn and grow with the company
- Attention to detail
- Ability to retain product knowledge of various items
- The candidate may be asked to travel to other sites for coverage and can be discussed during the interview process.
