Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial projects while working under the supervision of licensed electricians. The ideal candidate should have a strong willingness to learn, good knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on active job sites.
Duties
- Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Assist with installation of conduit, wiring, panels, lighting fixtures, devices, and distribution equipment
- Support troubleshooting and identification of electrical system deficiencies
- Ensure all work complies with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and site safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors, licensed electricians, and other trades
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently
- Participate in renovation, service, and new construction projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Registered Electrical Apprentice preferred
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents
- Experience with conduit installation and wiring methods is an asset
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within the electrical trade
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, and Aerial Platform certifications are required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
