We’re currently seeking a friendly and resourceful individual to join our Vermilion campus library team in a casual role. Key Responsibilities

Provide library circulation and basic reference services during scheduled evening and weekend shifts, including Friday evenings, and/or Saturdays and Sundays.
Support students and faculty by assisting with library resources, answering questions, and helping locate materials.
Deliver friendly and responsive customer service that fosters a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate circulation records and assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
Contribute to the smooth daily operation of the library through light shelving, tidying, and basic administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

Proficiency with computers, including experience using desktop software such as Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and database search techniques.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an electronic and digital environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Knowledge of library principles, procedures, and daily operations is considered an asset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, student-focused setting.
Post secondary courses related to the library field would be desirable.
Minimum High School Diploma.
No experience required, we will train the right candidate.

Additional Information

This is a Casual AUPE appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing September 2, 2026, and ending May 31, 2027.
