Healthcare Receptionist Internship

Lococo Wellness Clinic is a naturopathic and wellness clinic passionate about helping patients heal by supporting the body's natural ability to restore and maintain health.
We are looking for a motivated, health-conscious receptionist to join our team! This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in healthcare, medicine, or administration who are looking to gain valuable hands-on experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Be CPR certified (opportunity to complete certification within the first week of hiring)
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed during busy periods
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills
- Be comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be receptive to feedback and committed to continuous learning
- Enjoy interacting with patients and creating a positive clinic experience
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Have previous experience in healthcare, administration, customer service, or accounting (considered an asset)
Job Description:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries
- Maintains a positive work environment for patients by answering questions and maintaining the reception area
- Manages the schedules and unique needs of 9 practitioners and their patients
- Processes patient payments, invoices, and clinic transactions
- Maintains accurate patient records and confidential documentation
- Assists with inventory management, supply ordering, and clinic organization
- Helps patients in distress in the event of emergencies
- Communicates clearly and efficiently with practitioners to ensure a positive experience for patients
- Maintains clinic operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
- Assists with marketing, social media, and clinic outreach initiatives as required
- Performs additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
