Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks, ensuring timely service, and attending to guest needs proactively.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly suggestions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all payments.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness protocols in both the dining area and kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology for order processing and cashiering.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and making change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
