Buchanan Technologies is seeking an experienced Angular Developer to support a public sector client in delivering modern, scalable digital solutions. This role involves working across front-end, middleware, and back-end systems in a complex enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and experience delivering high-quality applications in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Angular-based web applications
- Contribute across the full solution lifecycle—from design through development and production deployment
- Write clean, well-structured, testable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate estimates and meet project timelines
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
- Manage work items and workflows using Azure DevOps Boards
- Identify risks and proactively address potential issues
- Support delivery of complex system development projects
Mandatory Qualifications
The proposed resource must meet or exceed the following:
Angular Development Experience (Minimum 3 Years)
- Demonstrated experience as an Angular Developer in complex environments (front-end, middleware, back-end), including:
- Angular (version 20 or higher)
- HTML and JSON
- CSS and SASS
- Reactive programming in Angular
- Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Writing production-ready, well-tested code
- Microsoft Azure DevOps (including Boards management)
- Understanding of technical solutions from design through to code implementation
Technical Experience (Minimum 5 Years)
- Experience developing or supporting web applications using modern web technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Experience with open-source frameworks for microservices development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk evaluation and mitigation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across delivery phases
- Proven ability to deliver complex system development projects from design through to release
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with government or public sector organizations
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git)
- Experience with Mulesoft
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Sales and Service
- Experience with Business Process Management Systems (BPMS / Rules Engine)
- Experience with Microsoft Graph or SharePoint
Pay: $70.00-$80.00 per hour
Experience:
- Full Stack Development in Angular : 5 years (required)
- Public sector: 2 years (preferred)
- Angular 20+ in large projects: 3 years (required)
