We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
- Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery as needed
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions
- Utilize welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural modifications
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Automotive service technician qualifications and red seal is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is desirable
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards and maintenance procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred but not required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
