As a Packaging & Shipping Associate, you’ll work closely with our Sales and Demand Manager to ensure our products are packaged, labeled, and shipped with care and precision. This role is perfect for someone with an eye for detail, a knack for organization, and a passion for contributing to a growing industry.
- Accurately weigh, sort, and package dried cannabis flower and pre-rolls following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Label and seal finished products with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packaging room, adhering to Health Canada regulations.
- Follow all Good Production Practices (GPP) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
- Perform inventory counts and report material usage accurately.
- Operate basic equipment (e.g., scales, sealers) and ensure proper function and calibration.
- Prepare and process shipments for distribution, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch.
- Book and schedule shipments with carriers (Canada Post, Purolator, freight, etc.).
- Generate and manage shipping documentation, including labels, BOLs, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipments and resolve any delays, damages, or delivery issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
- Adhere to strict sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with inventory tracking and control, including stock counts and organizing supplies.
- Support inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Contribute to plant care and facility maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with operational tasks in the cultivation area to support overall productivity.
- Perform facility maintenance as required.
- Take on additional tasks to support the team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a packaging, production, or warehouse setting.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with basic computer tools such as Excel and inventory software is an asset.
- Physical Requirements: Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in a regulated industry or working with cannabis is an asset but not required.
