Industrial Painter (Evening Shift 4:30pm - 1:00am)

Frank's Group is seeking an Industrial Painter for our Evening Shift (4:30pm - 1:00am). The successful candidate will have experience applying industrial coatings using specialized spray equipment and possess a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Please note: This position involves industrial spray painting using airless, conventional, and cup gun systems. This is not a residential brush and roll painting position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating through cleaning, masking, sanding, grinding, and inspection
- Mix paints, primers, hardeners, and reducers according to product specifications
- Operate and maintain airless, conventional, and cup gun spray systems
- Clean and maintain paint pumps, spray equipment, hoses, pots, and related tools
- Apply industrial coatings in accordance with customer and manufacturer specifications
- Measure and verify coating thickness requirements
- Perform touch-ups and coating repairs as required
- Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of projects
- Assist with prepping material
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete quality control and production documentation as required
- Support production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards
The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To:
- Identify and properly use various spray equipment, including airless, conventional, and cup gun systems
- Interpret product data sheets, including mix ratios and thinning/reducing percentages
- Apply coatings to achieve specified DFT (Dry Film Thickness) requirements
- Identify appropriate spray tip sizes, filters, and related equipment for each application
- Apply primers and topcoats using proper industrial coating techniques
- Demonstrate proper operation and maintenance of painting equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Adhere to all safety procedures, shop discipline, and housekeeping standards
- Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company HSE policies
- Lift between 20-50 lbs depending on job requirements
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety
Required Qualifications
- CSTS 2020 Certification
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of industrial coating applications
- Experience with industrial spray painting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Reliable and dependable with a positive attitude
Assets
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous industrial spray painting experience
- Previous blast application experience
- NACE-level training
- Fall Protection certification
- Elevated Work Platform certification
- Overhead Crane certification
- Rigging certification
- Confined Space certification
- H₂S Alive certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Previous construction or industrial work experience
