Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Basic laboratory techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and preparing reagents and samples;
- Performance of enzyme and protein assays;
- Purification, optimization and characterization of new and existing antibodies;
- Working with antibody arrays including probing and quantitation;
- Involved with R&D experiments to develop new assays or services;
- Following and updating of Standard Operating Procedures;
- Cell culture including preparing and treating cells and tissues;
- Maintaining inventory of reagents and supplies and preparing solutions;
- Quantitating and analyzing data for reports;
- Performing database and internet searches to support product and service development and scientific publications;
- Other general research, laboratory or administrative duties as required including maintenance, organization and cleanliness of lab.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree or other recognized qualification in a technical/life science field or other relevant discipline;
- Resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills;
- Able to work cooperatively and with minimal supervision in a multidisciplinary environment;
- Able to show initiative, troubleshoot, and work productively and independently;
- Adherence to policies and procedures and ability to follow directions;
- Ability to learn new techniques quickly with care and accuracy;
- Independent self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask and work in a team environment as required.

Pay: $40,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
