Experienced Spray Fireproofing / Spray Fibreglass Insulation Applicator

We are an established fireproofing and insulation contractor looking for an experienced Spray Fireproofing and/or Spray Fibreglass Insulation Applicator to join our team.
We work on commercial, institutional, industrial, infrastructure, and multi-family construction projects throughout the Lower Mainland. This position is intended for someone who already has hands-on spraying experience and is comfortable working as a proper applicator on active construction sites.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a spray applicator. Experience with spray fireproofing and / or spray-applied fibreglass insulation, intumescent paint, etc.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will perform spray fireproofing and/or spray fibreglass insulation work on active construction sites. Duties may include mobilizing materials and equipment, setting up and operating spray equipment, preparing work areas, applying spray materials, monitoring coverage and application quality, cleaning equipment, and following site safety requirements.
This position requires someone who understands the basics of spray application, equipment operation, material handling, masking, site preparation, and clean-up. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and able to work efficiently as part of a crew.
Typical Duties
Load, unload, and move materials and equipment.
Set up, operate, and clean spray equipment.
Apply spray fireproofing and/or spray fibreglass insulation materials.
Monitor application quality, coverage, and general workmanship.
Assist with masking, preparation, clean-up, and general site duties.
Follow manufacturer instructions, work orders, drawings, and site direction.
Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and active construction areas where required.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all company, site, and WorkSafeBC safety requirements.
Use required PPE, including respirators when required.
Position Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a spray applicator.
Experience with spray fireproofing, spray fibreglass insulation, intumescent paint, or similar spray-applied construction materials.
Must be able to work as a proper sprayer/applicator with limited training.
Must be comfortable being fully clean shaven when required, as respirators are required for certain work.
Valid driver’s licence preferred.
Must be punctual, reliable, and consistently present.
Must have a working cell phone for communication.
Ability to read and understand work orders and instructions in English.
Physically fit and able to perform construction labour.
Comfortable working on active construction sites.
Able to work typical shifts of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with possible overtime.

Pay is based on experience. Higher wages may be available for candidates with strong relevant experience in spray fireproofing, spray fibreglass insulation, spray foam, or similar spray-applied construction work.
Vacation pay will be paid in accordance with employment standards.
