Position Overview
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Excavation for hydro pole installations
- Trenching and utility work
- Operating excavators and/or backhoes (as required)
- Assisting crews with site preparation and project execution
- Supporting storm response and emergency service calls
This role requires someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience reading and understanding utility locates
- Excavator and/or backhoe operating experience
- Previous experience in excavation or utility construction
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices
- Ability to work long hours when required (50–65 hrs/week)
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergencies and storm response
