What You Will Contribute
As an Automotive 12 Volt Electrical Installer, you will be involved in the installation of electrical wiring systems on automotive and heavy trucks, along with diagnosing various electrical wiring systems and ensuring each unit is operating correctly.

What You Will Need
- A minimum of two years of experience in vehicular operations, coupled with a solid understanding of DC fundamentals, is required.
- Previous experience in vehicle upfitting or general 12 Volt vehicular installation is preferred.
- Experience in 2-way radio installations, public safety, commercial vehicle upfitting and installation, automotive security systems and OEM integration would be considered highly advantageous.
- Able to operate systematically while retaining a sharp focus on precision.
- Demonstrates proficient practical skills in utilizing various tools, including electrical equipment.
- Collaborating with the production team leads to communication with customer requirements.
- Approaches tasks with an optimistic, energetic, and passionate mindset.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn about our fire truck manufacturing process and a commitment to continually expanding expertise in the fire truck manufacturing industry, including its components, products, and available technology.

What You Will Do
- Diagnose faults/malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of malfunction and the type and scope of repair required.
- Install and connect various electric wiring systems.
- Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand/power tools.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications and company quality standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications.
- Create wiring harness as per vehicle work order.
- Troubleshoot any unforeseen issues that arise.
- Program ECMs and multiplexed vehicle electrical systems – training provided.
- Install 12V lighting systems in accordance with specifications.
- Assembly and manufacturing conducted on-site.
- Informs appropriate supervisor of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications, parts ordering, and skilled in conducting research.
- Follows safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conduct functional tests of electrical systems.
- Correct or adjust any identified problems.
- Performs electrical panel installation, miscellaneous electrical components installations, as described by engineering and performs quality checks on work performed.
- Trouble shoots problems on work performed.
- Works with minimal supervision and uses good judgment to ensure product meets with company’s performance standards; quality control checks are performed on work twice daily by supervisor or other member of quality staff prior to customer delivery.
- Maintains company-required performance standards and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Works overtime as required.
