Overview
Doege Company Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hands-on Production & Operations Assistant to support day-to-day work in a small manufacturing and production environment.
This position is well suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, computer orientated, organized, dependable, and willing to learn. The role may include assisting with production, equipment setup, light maintenance, cleaning, organizing materials, using tools, helping with deliveries or shipping, and supporting general operations as needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, follows safety procedures, and is comfortable working with their hands in a fast-paced environment. Mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
Duties
- Assist with production, assembly, packaging, and general manufacturing tasks
- Work with with computer programs regular
- Help set up, clean, organize, and maintain production areas and equipment
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Assist with light mechanical repairs, adjustments, and maintenance
- Support troubleshooting of equipment or production issues
- Help with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling
- Load, unload, move, and organize supplies, parts, and finished products
- Follow workplace safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized
- Assist with deliveries, pickups, errands, or other company tasks as required
- Work with management and team members to keep daily operations running smoothly
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, trades, mechanical work, warehouse, or industrial settings is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools is preferred
- Basic electrical, wiring, automation, or equipment maintenance knowledge is an asset
- Ability to read simple instructions, measurements, labels, or drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Physically able to lift 22kg, carry, stand, bend, and work on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
- Valid pro serve and first aid

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
