Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, compounding non-sterile medications, assisting patients, help with daily log recording temperature, humidity and other parameters as required to maintain our compounding facility. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with community pharmacy experience to contribute to patient health and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide basic patient care support
- Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
- Enter prescription data into Fillware with precision and attention to detail
- Verify medication orders for accuracy and completeness using medical terminology
- Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Skills
- Must be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)
- Must have prior community pharmacy experience
- Must be familiar with pharmacy software systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
