People Store Staffing Solution is hiring a Production Machine Operator for one of our clients in Mississauga located close to Derry and Kennedy intersection!
Shift Timings:
- Day – 7 am to 3:30 pm
- Afternoon – 3:45 pm to 12 am
Wage Rate:
Responsibilities:
- Install, align, dismantle and move machinery, mechanical equipment such as conveyors, weigh scale, lot coders and tape machines according to the production.
- Assist in installation of equipment and machinery.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper speeds.
- Inspect machines and equipment to detect any malfunctions.
- Monitor quality throughout the production process. Notify Mechanics, to make adjustment, to maintain consistency and quality.
- Perform routine tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the line.
- Notify Mechanics, to identify and address potential issues and to ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure the production of safe and contamination-free products.
- Document equipment performance and any issues encountered during production run such as downtime.
- Communicate with Production Supervisors, operators and team members.
- Notify Mechanics to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Perform material handling duties as required, including lifting, moving, and handling production materials, equipment, and finished goods. Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs and follow proper lifting procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (high speed cartoner, gluer, laser coders, shrink wrappers, check weighers.)
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
