Your Experience:
- Current RN registration through BCCNM, BC College of Nurses and Midwives
- At least 3 years’ experience in senior care nursing leadership
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Care, RN to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality senior care within our assisted living and nursing home facilities. The ideal Director of Care, RN candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in elder care, and a passion for enhancing residents' well-being. This Director of Care, RN leadership role involves managing care teams, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Director of Care, RN provides overall leadership and supervision of caregiving staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional senior care services.
- Director of Care, RN develops, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including dementia and medication management.
- Director of Care, RN oversees daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Director of Care, RN manages staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing staff training and development.
- Director of Care, RN collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical treatments, medication administration, and emergency responses.
- Director of Care, RN maintains accurate documentation related to resident care, staffing, and regulatory requirements.
- Director of Care, RN leads quality assurance initiatives to improve care standards and resident satisfaction.
- Director of Care, RN manages budgets effectively to optimize resource allocation while maintaining high standards of care.
- Director of Care, RN fosters a positive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and respect for all residents.
Director of Care, RN Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings, with a strong background in senior care.
- Prior supervising or leadership experience in healthcare or eldercare facilities.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and medication administration protocols.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and interact with residents' families.
- Valid nursing license or relevant healthcare certification is preferred but not mandatory; experience in nursing or caregiving is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
