Build Parts That Power Custom Machinery.
Royal Machine Solutions is looking for a skilled Precision Machinist / Manufacturing Technician to support the production of custom conveyors, automation equipment, tooling, and industrial machinery.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, problem solving, and seeing their parts become finished equipment used by manufacturers.
Unlike high-volume production shops, our work is highly varied. You'll work on prototypes, custom machinery, one-off components, and short-run manufacturing projects that require skill, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
What You'll Be Doing
Machining & Manufacturing
- Operate manual machine tools including mills, lathes, drill presses, and saws
- Set up and operate CNC equipment
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Support production requirements for custom conveyor and automation projects
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Troubleshoot machining and production challenges
- Recommend tooling, fixture, and process improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shop
Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with fabrication, assembly, and engineering teams
- Assist with prototype development and custom equipment builds
- Support fabrication and welding operations when required
What We're Looking For
Required
- Experience operating manual machining equipment
- CNC setup and operation experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of tolerances, fits, and precision manufacturing
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Assets
- Red Seal Machinist certification
- Fusion 360 or CAM programming experience
- Experience manufacturing custom equipment or prototypes
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Lean manufacturing or 5S experience
- Experience working in a custom manufacturing environment
