Heavy Equipment Operator
Yukon, YT - Fly-in/Fly-out
Work Schedule:
- Equipment Operators & Mechanics: 12 hrs/day, 7 days/week, 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
*Seasonal Shifts until October/Pending weather
717.60/Day + Bonus
Performance Bonuses (pass-through, included in pricing):
- Cycle Bonus: $500 per 4 weeks worked
- End of Project Bonus: $2,000
About This Role
Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and related equipment in support of mining site operations at the Yukon camp. Operators report to the Lead Equipment Operator and contribute to a safe, productive operating environment.
What You'll Do
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders as directed by the Lead Operator and site leadership.
- Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
- Contribute to operator performance data collection by accurately recording shift activity as directed.
- Follow safe operating practices and adhere to all site safety standards.
- Support shift handoff communication and maintain awareness of daily operating priorities.
- Assist with general site tasks as needed during non-operating periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience (excavator, dozer, loader).
- Experience working extended rotations in remote or camp-based settings.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week for 4-week rotations.
- Strong safety awareness and reliable work habits.
- Valid driver's licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mining or drilling site operating experience.
- First Aid / safety certifications.
- Prior camp or fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) experience.
Pay: $715.00-$717.00 per day
