We are currently seeking an experienced Mobilization and Lowboy Operator to join our civil construction team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient mobilization of heavy equipment to and from job sites and repair facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport heavy equipment to job sites, yards, and repair shops using a lowboy trailer and a heavy duty vocational truck
- Safely load and unload equipment, ensuring proper securement and compliance with regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck, trailer, and equipment
- Coordinate with site supervisors, mechanics, and dispatch to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating a lowboy trailer and hauling heavy equipment
- Valid safety tickets including Cargo Secure, Transportation of Hazardous Goods and WHMIS
- Strong understanding of load securement and safe transport practices
- Physically fit and capable of loading, chaining, and securing equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage changing schedules
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
