Description:
BJE Industrial Supply Inc. is currently looking for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Delivery Driver/Warehouse in Grande Prairie, AB. The successful candidate will pick, load, and deliver goods to customer locations (via Cube Van); as well as count and stock inventories at VMI customer locations. Clean class 5 licence with minimum 3 years driving experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Deliveries and VMI stocking in a safe, professional and courteous manner; respecting and adhering to customer location specific additional safety policies and guidelines.
- Enter/Pick orders as required, with extreme attention to detail to ensure correct Items and quantities are being sent to customers
- Maintain vehicle log and delivery log ; perform pre-trip inspections; advise of maintenance required
- Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness
- Maintain VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) replenishment at customer’s locations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling units
- Perform internal warehouse tasks (stocking/counts/order entry/pulling orders) when not on deliveries/VMI
- Maintain positive and productive team relationships
- Attend training and staff meetings as required
Education and Job Requirements:
- Must be insurable to operate a class 5 commercial vehicle (driver abstract required)
- Have good organizational and time management skills
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to lift 50lbs; show safe + skillful use of material handling equipment for heavier loads
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently
- Occasional overtime required
- Basic computer skills required
- Steel toed boots required, additional provided PPE to be worn as required
Compensation:
$21.00-25.00 per hour
