Position Summary:
The Production Associate is a cross-functional team member responsible for supporting manufacturing, packaging, labeling and general production activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations. This role assists with product handling, packaging processes, equipment operation, sanitation and documentation while ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety requirements and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The Production Associate plays a key role in maintaining product quality, meeting production schedules and supporting operational flexibility across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Production, Packaging, Documentation, GMP & Cross-Functional Support
- Assist in the production of batch manufacturing and formulations in accordance with batch records, SOPs, and quality requirements.
- Accurately weigh and handle raw materials to support packaging.
- Assist with line setup, changeovers, startup activities, and monitor processes for any deviations or equipment concerns.
- Support packaging operations including labeling, inspection, final product handling.
- Ensure packaging materials are used correctly and in compliance with approved specifications.
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas while following GMP, sanitation, and contamination prevention requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Health & Safety
Production Associates are expected to follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times. This includes properly wearing, maintaining, and cleaning required PPE, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, promptly reporting hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions, and adhering to WHMIS and chemical handling requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
· Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
· WHMIS certification – will be provided.
· The role requires physical fitness, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
· Strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written procedures accurately, basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
· The ideal candidate is reliable, dependable, able to work with minimal supervision, and willing to support multiple departments as needed.
