Location: Forest City Pharmacy & Medical – Attached to Nixon Walk-In Clinic
Position: Temporary Full-Time (with Part-Time Training Period)
Expected Start: September 2026 (Part-Time Training)
Full-Time Coverage: Approximately October/November 2026 through February/March 2027 (dates may vary)
Forest City Pharmacy & Medical is seeking a confident, patient-focused pharmacist to join our team in preparation for a maternity leave. We are connected to Nixon Walk-In Clinic, providing a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration, clinical care, and exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will begin working part-time in September to become familiar with our workflow, team, and patients before transitioning into the primary pharmacist role during the maternity leave.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
- Provide professional pharmacy services, including patient counselling and medication reviews.
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and clinic staff to optimize patient care.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and assistants.
- Resolve clinical and operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Assist with inventory management, workflow optimization, and overall pharmacy operations.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Part-time training beginning in September, transitioning to full-time maternity leave coverage.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a busy medical clinic.
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is required.
- Experience with Kroll is considered an asset.
