OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are hiring a talented Warehouse Associate to join our team. If you're excited to be part of a winning team, Echelon Supply & Service is a great place to grow your career. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for an array of duties such as packing, sending, receiving shipments and processing incoming stock & materials in our Whitby office. In addition, keeping track of inventory, disposing of leftover packing waste, storing materials in the appropriate places, and transporting goods.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Take inventory of materials shipped or received;
· Store, count, weigh, and open materials received;
· Load and unload trucks, and other vehicles;
· Fill warehouse orders;
· Assist in hose assemblies;
· Label boxes to identify materials;
· Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard;
· Investigate errors and take corrective actions;
· Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent;
· Prior manufacturing or production experience is considered an asset;
· Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn;
· Strong work ethic, reliable and committed to the success of the team;
· Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment;
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy;
· Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing;
· Understanding of inventory;
· Awareness of Health & Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries;
· Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner;
· Ability to create labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage;
· Ability to work well with others;
